For authors & narrators

Hoping to build with the help of authors and narrators.

Readibly is a small, independent space for books worth both reading and hearing. Here's the honest version of where it's starting, and an open invitation to help shape it.

I want to be open and upfront: I'm not an industry person. I started Readibly as a reader. I wanted to read and listen to a book at the same time and keep the lines that stayed with me, so I could come back to them later. Nothing really offered that, so I started building it.

The further I got, the clearer one thing became: the people who make those moments, the authors, and the narrators, are the backbone of the whole experience.

It seems like most platforms don't always treat them that way. I genuinely want to. Right now, that looks like starting small and curated rather than chasing endless scale, leaning into human narration, and caring a great deal about treating authors fairly.

A few things that matter at the core, as this takes shape —

  • Human narration is the heart and the priority.
  • Starting small and curated, and growing carefully.
  • Independently owned, and aiming to stay that way.
  • To be fair and honest with authors and narrators.
  • Built with the input of authors and narrators.

Your Input Genuinely Matters

I want you to be heard, your voice valued and taken seriously as part of how this gets built. Not just in the small things, but the ones that matter most to you, like how revenue is shared, how rights are handled, and what a fair agreement actually looks like. I know something like this can't be everything to everyone. But I care, wholeheartedly, about building it around real input from authors and narrators, so that what comes of it is fair to creators, worthwhile for readers, and steady enough to last. Your perspective is sincerely welcomed as this comes together.

This comes straight to me, not a marketing list. I read every message personally.

Thank you for the books, and the voices. They're the reason any of this is worth doing.
